National Careers Service
Industry: Charities and Voluntary Work
The National Careers Service is dedicated to helping you get the advice you need to develop your skills, get on in your career and make those all important life choices. Our service is available to anyone over 13 years of age, and can be accessed by telephone, the web and for those 19-years-old and over, face-to-face as well.
Using our specially designed tools we’ll help you to either move on in your career, or help you to get that vital first step up the career ladder. We’ll start by helping you to realise your ambitions – helping you figure out what it is you want to do in your working life!
Whether you’re looking to get your first job, or you're planning a career change, there are many stages to go through. From deciding which jobs to go for, to choosing the right places to look, to working on your interview skills – at the National Careers Service we’ll help you every step of the way!
And remember, the world of work moves quickly. To keep up with it most of us need to change jobs from time to time. Sometimes it’s to move on to a new or better job, and sometimes it’s beyond our control – like in the case of redundancy.
Job-hunting is about showing yourself in the best light. It's also about making the most of your strengths. This is the same whether it’s on a CV or in an interview. So whether you’re currently not in a job and want to get back to work, or you’re looking for your next move, you can contact us on 0800 100 900 or search on line for National Careers Service.
We're here to give you a hand.
