What is an Advertising Copywriter?

An advertising copywriter writes ‘copy’ for adverts. ‘Copy’ is the text of an advert, and can come in the form of slogans, jingle lyrics or even scripts.

  • Work in a team with an art director
  • Create original ideas to fit the brief
  • Present their ideas to the client
  • Make changes
  • Make sure all copy is grammatically correct with no spelling errors
